Tom, Pam, and Sam took a Sunday drive up through the Santa Ynez Valley to Figueroa Mountain to view the wild flowers and picnic. The Lupine was out in full force, and there were some California Poppies. We saw assorted animals including a coyote, dear, a cow giving milk to her calf, and of course the assorted reptiles. We went through Solvang on the way back and stopped to see miniature ponies, ostriches and emeus before taking a short tour of the Dutch style town.
