Cold Springs Hike followed by a visit to Frank's Cactus Garden
Monday's have been Sam & Dylan days since Dylan's mom, Cindy, started teaching the extended day program at The Oaks (preschool).
Today was threatening rain, in between rain all day on Sunday, and a bit more Monday evening, but we stayed dry. Not much wind, no sun, but pleasant temperatures for hiking.
We started with a short bike ride around the neighborhood with a stop at the big tree swing before loading up to drive to Cold Springs Trail. (Sam just learned to ride his 2 wheeler a week ago)
The creek was flowing, but not too strong. We hiked in and made stops at the Cave, the Flat Rock, and Kevin's Bench. We did some hiking a and rock scrambling around the bench waterfalls before breaking out lunch.
The boys voted to stop at Frank's en route to The Oaks. The had fun checking out Frank's house before exploring his cactus garden. Frank had and Easter Basket for Sam.
We dropped Dylan at The Oaks and headed home.
