Byron & Mary Anne's Visit

Byron and I were in Orlando for a Regional Bridge tournament over the weekend of Janurary 8-11th and decided on Sunday would be nice to see if we could visit Mary and Richard as they were only an hour plus away from where we were.  So we called and they were free and we went first to visit La Pointes who live close by for a short visit.. and then to Mary and Rit's..  We had been in their home before about 3 years ago.. right after they moved in.. and they've done lots of improvements (wall papering, etc. etc) plus they've always done great things in their yards.  It's a lovely home.. much larger than ours.. and I think they really enjoy it.  That area has really "blossomed" since they moved there and now have lots of shopping close by etc.

Mary fixed us a nice lunch.. we got caught up on the family and left there about three fifteen to drive back to Venice.. it was about a four hour drive because we opted to drop down to Ft. Pierce and come across the state that way. Mile wise closer, but it's a two lane road so not easy driving, but pretty because one sees the "old Florida" with all the cattle, groves, etc.. not the plastic of the touristy areas.

Uncle Richard looks good.. as does Aunt Mary and they see two of the girls frequently.. and LeAnn in N. C. less often.  We last saw them last year when they stopped in after being on this side of the state for a short visit and lunch also.  We were glad it worked out we could visit with them.
