I always share that story of how on my 8th birthday, mom gave me a pretty
little outfit, but you, dad, gave me my ball, glove, bat & hat. You will always
be my buddy! Thank you for the wonderful life you gave to me. I love you & will
miss you beyond words.

Pop, I miss you very much and think of you often. Your smile your laughter
and your kindness will forever be missed. One memmory that stands out to me most
is that at a very young age you taught me how to drive in that little truck of
yours. I remember you would tell me not to stop in the cross walk because that's
where the women pushing the baby carriage walks and we dont want to hit them.
funny how so many years later I still think of that women and her baby in the
carriage every time I approach a crosswalk. Im very greatfull and extremely
thankfull that I just spent some time with you ion tuesday. I saw how bad you
were hurting and I'm so glad that your not in that horrible pain anymore. I will
always remember you and forever keep you and the memories I have of you in my
heart. Please watch over me and the girls. Please keep us safe and out of harms
way. May you rest in peace. See you again someday. I love you!

Posted by: Ryan Gee - High Point, NC - great grandson Sep 08, 2011To Richard’s Family. Your father and husband was special to me. I didn’t see much of you growing up, and hadn’t seen Richard in many years, but as a fledgling mechanic pursuing trade crafts in south Florida more than 30 years ago, I would often stop by his booth at the Chevrolet dealer to hang out and chat. He did windows, doors, and seals. Drove an old Corvair (rated amongst the 50 worst cars of all time). It is obvious that he directed his energy and focus toward his family, as noted by the sharp contrast between you lovely homes and Richard’s cars. I’m certain that you all feel blessed to have a great father
It saddens me that he is gone, but I realize that death and passing are part of life. We and we will carry his memory with us.

Dear All –
I wanted to give you an update and some photos from mom and dad’s trip to
Florida. Although it is a sad occasion with the passing of uncle Richard,
we have really enjoyed our visit. A surprise – Joe Bortolotti showed up
and I realized how much he really still misses his mom –
We went to the burial on Thursday at the national cemetery and then Lloyd, Uncle
Lloyd, Joe, myself and mom and dad went to cracker barrel – not out favorite
restaurant but such a good visit. Also, while I was at work next day, Lloyd &
Uncle Lloyd came over to visit which was nice for dad. After the service on
Saturday, we went back to the truax house
