St. Vincent's Student Is State Free Throw Champ

Beckett Frappier, a SVDP 6th grade student who competed in the Knights of Columbus Free-throw contest, won the state championship in Austin after winning the parish, diocese, and district levels.
  • At the St. Vincent de Paul Parish level he won first place by making 11 of 15 free throws.
  • At district level at Corpus Christi School he won first place by making 21 of 25 free throws.
  • At the regional level at St. Pius High School, Frappier won by making 23 of 25 free throws.
  • And at the state level competition at St. Edwards University in Austin, he won first place by making 22 of 25 free throws.

Frappier played on the SVDP JV Football team last fall, on the SVDP 6th grade basketball team this year, on the WULL Mariners, which won the American Major Division (11-12 year olds).  He played on the WULL Tournament Team as a 9 year old (that team won District 16), played on the 10 year old Minor tournament team, played on last summer's Major Tournament Team (which took second in District 16).
